Sparton Earns Fourth Consecutive 5-Star Supplier Excellence Award from Raytheon

Sparton Corp. was recognized for its outstanding performance as a supplier to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) at the Supplier Excellence Conference held in Danvers, Massachusetts on June 7, 2016.
Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems business instituted the annual Supplier Excellence Awards program to recognize suppliers who have provided outstanding service and partnership in exceeding customer requirements. Award candidates are judged on certain criteria, including overall quality, on-time delivery and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. A 5-Star recognition is the highest level of recognition a Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems business supplier can achieve for excellence in quality and performance, and Sparton was one of 24 companies selected.
Sparton’s Plaistow, New Hampshire facility supplies sub-assemblies for the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System, Zumwalt Class Destroyer, and THAAD & AN/TPY-2 Radar Systems programs.
“Raytheon is a world-class organization and to be recognized year-after-year is rewarding. The stringent standards that our organization is able to maintain on an annual basis is confirmation that our employees are some of the most talented in the industry,” said Jamie Shaddix, Group Vice President Mil/Aero Manufacturing Services for Sparton Corporation.
