MC Assembly Hosts Town Hall with Congressman Bill Posey
August 19, 2016 | IPCEstimated reading time: 2 minutes

Congressman Bill Posey (R-FL-8) visited MC Assembly, a manufacturing service provider in Melbourne, Florida, to speak with executives and employees about the policy issues impacting their company. Rep. Posey engaged in a town-hall-style discussion and had a first-hand look at the work that is taking place at MC Assembly.
Coordinated by IPC, the world’s leading association for the electronics industry, this visit is part of an ongoing effort to connect policymakers with their constituents to learn about the legislative and regulatory issues that impact the manufacturing industry.
“We enjoyed hosting Congressman Posey at our facility today,” said George Moore, CEO and President of MC Assembly. “We appreciated his willingness to have an extended conversation about the policies that are impacting our business.”
MC Assembly is a leading mid-tier electronics manufacturing services provider, with locations in Florida, Massachusetts and Mexico. Serving a diverse customer base, MC Assembly has established itself as an international leader in the contract manufacturing arena.
“I’m grateful to MC Assembly and IPC for inviting me to see and learn about the crucial work that takes place here daily,” said Congressman Posey. “I enjoyed hearing the personal stories of employees and their opinions on how we can continue to support the manufacturing industry. Florida ranks among the top ten states for manufacturing, and with the help of MC Assembly and others, we will continue to create an environment where this industry succeeds and grows.”
Congressman Posey’s visit was part of IPC’s “Meet the Policymakers” program, in which IPC government relations staff arrange opportunities for electronics manufacturers to host their elected officials at company locations.
