Panasonic Launches New PanaCIM Maintenance for Asset Management
August 24, 2016 | Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of AmericaEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America has launched a new PanaCIMMaintenance solution to control the full life cycle of any manufacturing asset. PanaCIM Maintenance brings innovative, value-added elements to help manufacturers streamline processes, reduce costs, increase uptime, and improve efficiencies.
Maintaining assets often requires complex analysis of dynamic equipment records, product schedules, resource availability, and spare part predictability to achieve time-, production-, and cost-effective results. The maintenance process becomes more complex with constant changes from supply chain issues and production urgencies that can wreak havoc on a manufacturer’s KPIs.
“Our product is an evolutionary step in Maintenance Management System (MMS) software with real-time asset communication to help manufacturers verify, modify, and predict an asset’s maintenance needs,” remarked Faisal Pandit, President, Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America. “This helps manufacturers manage and analyze asset usage, depreciation, and production data to form a holistic view of the actual maintenance costs.”
PanaCIM Maintenance automatically schedules asset maintenance using predictive data and real-time inputs. It provides variable-based planning by time, usage, and urgency, records numerous data points such as resource availability and skill level, spare parts, schedules, procedures and also includes certification and completion tracking.
Online manuals, check lists, and certifications help ease deployment, while paperless documentation can automatically link with Maintenance Orders to further streamline processes. Integration with other platforms such as PanaCIM, machinery, and power tools offers the ideal framework to add the ability to monitor, evaluate, track, and control a manufacturer’s costs. Additional features include labor tracking, myriad reporting, knowledge base, and automated audit functions, which increase a manufacturer’s uptime and improves overall factory efficiency.
PanaCIM has been the recipient of numerous industry awards. Maintenance received the Best New Product for the Americas Technology Award from Global SMT & Pkg for its augmented reality capability. This function incorporates a Panasonic Toughpad tablet to help reduce training costs and streamline issue location and identification.
