Columnist Bio
Kurt Palmer holds a Master's degree in International Business from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. With a robust skill set that includes manufacturing, management, product development, lean manufacturing, customer service and more. Kurt has over 35 years of PCB materials and equipment supply experience. Started in the family business, Tapco, where he worked for 28 years supplying consumables and equipment to the North American PCB industry. Tapco was acquired by TCT of Taiwan in 2015 where he stayed on for 3 years before joining Burkle North America as President. Today he is the president of Schmoll America supplying
precision process equipment to the industry.
Columnist Bio
Simon Khesin is a sales manager for Schmoll Maschinen GmbH and has over 12 years of experience in the PCB industry, having held various roles across the sector. Before joining Schmoll he worked as a distributor for big equipment OEMs from Europe, Asia, and Israel. Simon's career began as a process engineer, with additional responsibilities that included PCB factories, layout designing, and project management for new PCB factory setups.
