Sparton Corp.'s DeLeon Springs, Florida Design and Development Group has been successfully appraised at CMMI-Maturity Level 3 (Dev v1.3). The appraisal was performed by AgileDigm.
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. CMMI is comprised of a collection of best practices designed to promote improved performance and is considered a global standard for efficiency.
An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates Sparton DLS is performing at a level where processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. Sparton's set of standard processes, which is the basis for Maturity Level 3, is established and has improved over time.
Sparton DeLeon Springs, LLC, a leader in the design, development, and manufacture of sonobuoy systems for the U.S. Navy, is at the forefront of technologies that align with the Defense Department’s Undersea and Ground Warfare Technology roadmaps. DeLeon Springs facility is uniquely qualified to handle projects for the Defense Department and prime contractors in the design and manufacturing of engineered products.
