DEK Confirms Lineup for UK Technology Day
March 2, 2006 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
WEYMOUTH, DORSET, U.K. — DEK has confirmed its lineup for its 21st Century Line Technology Day, which is scheduled to take place over March 29–30, 2006, at its Weymouth headquarters. Focusing on the concept of the "21st Century Line," the Technology Day will feature a blend of presentations and workshop demonstrations led by prominent industry representatives.
"The UK Technology Day will enable the DEK team to reach a large market cross section from a single platform, optimizing the effectiveness of our response to current market concerns and feedback," explains DEK's George Ritchie. "Furthermore, by teaming up with key strategic partners in this endeavor, we are pooling our complementary industry expertise to deliver customers a more comprehensive knowledge base."
The lead-free focus of the event will center on the most pressing issues facing today's manufacturers. Event content will include discussion of lead-free products, latest-generation components, reflow technologies, line flexibility, and lead-free developments. The Technology Day will also highlight DEK's Proflow enclosed print-head technology, a new concept in materials transfer for advanced SMT manufacturing; the Grid-Lok secure dedicated tooling fixture; and its lead-free consumables range.
The Technology Day also will feature a range of workshops and technical demonstrations led by DEK's Clive Ashmore. Along with the DEK Applications Team, Ashmore will highlight the importance of traceability as part of lead-free and critical manufacturing environments. Assembléon, BTU, and Nutek will lead other demonstrations.
