CSM and IO Electronics Merge
June 10, 2015 | CSM Electronics LtdEstimated reading time: 1 minute
CSM Electronics Ltd of Wareham, Dorset, and IO Electronics Ltd of Poole, also in Dorset have officially announced their merger after months of negotiations in a bid to become one of the UK’s largest players in the electronics subcontract manufacturing arena. The vision is to become the South’s foremost authority on the manufacturing of electronic products, offering an unrivalled approach to contract electronics.
Due to CSM’s plans of relocating and joining forces at the IO Electronics site in Holes Bay, Poole, to allow for a smoother transaction both companies will trade under the name of IO Electronics Ltd. In a joint statement they said: “This is great news for our customers, suppliers and employees. CSM and IO are both focused on growth and committed to delivering the highest quality, first class PCB, cable and box build assembly services. We believe the combination of the two distinctive manufacturers who share a very similar ethos gives us the opportunity to build something very strong together.
Initially CSM customers will notice no difference other than a name change, but over time they will benefit from the increased range of specialist manufacturing services that we will be able to provide.”
The merger will be made easier by the close proximity of the two companies and the fact they already share a proportion of their existing customer base.
They added: “We now have a solid foundation on which to build a truly world class CEM that will continue to attract fresh and exciting builds as well as offering an unrivalled quality manufacturing service. By combining forces, this will reinforce our already strong reputation, allowing us to provide an enhanced range of services to our customers whilst creating new opportunities for our highly talented teams.”
