KIC to Showcase Automated Thermal Process Tools at MATELEC

KIC has announced that its distributor in Spain, Propelec, will represent the company at MATELEC, scheduled to take place October 25–28, 2016 in Madrid, Spain.
At the show, KIC’s X5 Profiler, automatic profiling, and smart oven technology will be exhibited at Hall Hall 5 – Booth #5B03 and 5B05.
The X5 Profiler redefines what a data intelligence profiler can and should do. As opposed to the low-cost data acquisition profilers that focus purely on recording a product profile, a data intelligence profiler takes the additional active role of suggesting new oven setup in order to optimize the thermal process.
KIC’s technology provides either near instant oven changeover time or dramatically reduced downtime. Additionally, KIC’s automatic systems eliminate manual tasks such as periodic manual profiling and reduce the opportunities for human mistakes in setting up and running the ovens.
KIC’s smart oven technologies automatically measure the PCB profile and its match to the relevant process window. Share this continuous and near real-time process and traceability data with all authorized personnel and MES over the factory’s LAN. True process data helps the maintenance people troubleshoot and fix issues faster.
The ProBot automatically measures the profile for each PCB and verifies whether each PCB is processed to specification in the reflow oven. ProBot reduces the need for time consuming periodic profiling. ProBot will immediately identify if the oven is ready for in-spec production, receive warnings/alarms if the process drifts and automatically send product-related yield data to third party management/MES systems.
The K2 Profile Setter is available both as a standard “passive” profiler as well as an “active” profiler in the same unit. The passive profiler measures and displays the myriad of time/temperature data for the profile on a PCB and displays it in an easily accessible manner. The standard Mobile Profile View App transmits the information from the PC wirelessly to a mobile device for the ultimate in viewing convenience and accessibility.
