CalcuQuote Launches BidCQ
February 2, 2017 | CalcuQuoteEstimated reading time: 1 minute
CalcuQuote has announced a new Bid Sheet Portal, allowing electronics contract manufacturers to send, and component distributors to receive Bill of Material (BOM) bid sheets in a single, easy-to-use interface. The new platform, called BidCQ, gives distributors bid sheets detailing part manufacturers, manufacturer's part number, and a product description, as well as access to line-item attachments. Distributors can respond to customer requests for quote (RFQ) with their on-hand inventory or lead time, price information across quoted quantities, minimum quantity buys, quantity multiples, suggested alternate parts, and other information.
"We're excited to release another product facilitating fast, accurate communication between component distributors and their manufacturing customers," said Chintan Sutaria, President of CalcuQuote. "Our newest solution will dramatically improve how suppliers interact with contract manufacturers (CM)."
BidCQ works seamlessly with the existing CalcuQuote RFQ Management System for electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies. The RFQ Management System helps companies estimate material, labor and overhead costs of a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). After charging for NREs and applying markup, CalcuQuote publishes a beautiful, PDF-format quote that CMs can deliver to their customer.
