IPC Global Marketplace Delivers Intelligent Search Technology

IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries announces the launch of its global marketplace. IPC Global Marketplace replaces the former IPC Products and Services Index (PSI). Available on IPC’s website or directly through ipcglobalmarketplace.com, this innovative buyer’s guide enables electronics industry professionals to easily locate the products and services they need to effectively run their business.
One goal of IPC Global Marketplace is to help eliminate the clutter that goes into the average Internet search. The new digital buyer’s guide contains several new key elements that takes the user experience to a whole new level, including:
- Intuitive design and user experience -- The user-friendly and contemporary layout keeps content relevant for IPC and industry members and makes engagement quick and easy.
- Mobile-responsive design -- Online traffic from smart devices has skyrocketed over the past few years. With this in mind, the buyer’s guide was created using mobile responsive design so industry professionals can easily view it anywhere, regardless of device.
- Priority placement – IPC members are automatically included in the guide and receive priority page placement that will enhance their listing. An IPC member “badge” will further set their listing apart.
- New referrals feature – Digital word-of-mouth is important within an online community. This feature, integrated into individual company profile pages, allows companies to show others what their customers are saying about them, ultimately building confidence and credibility with prospective buyers.
“When it comes to finding the right buyers and sellers, it’s about searching smarter, not harder,” said Brian Knier, IPC vice president and chief marketing officer. “IPC Global Marketplace, with its intelligent search technology, mobile responsive design, and enhanced company profiles take the user experience to the next level, all while putting your company in front of the ‘right’ professionals in our industry. It’s the place to see and be seen.”
IPC partnered with MultiView Inc., a leader in digital publishing solutions for associations, to develop the global marketplace. “IPC understands the benefits of closely aligning all facets of the electronics industry such as design, printed board manufacturers and electronics assembly with industry suppliers,” said Scott Bedford, CEO of MultiView. “Electronics industry professionals are challenged with staying abreast of continuous changes in the industry and have multiple time management constraints put on them. By introducing IPC Global Marketplace, IPC has made a commitment to helping industry professionals save time in finding those products and services they need to efficiently operate their business.”
