Stella Corporation Implements Ucamco’s Gerber X2 Input and Output

Stella Corporation, a leading Japanese PCB software company, has completed its support for Gerber X2 in Stella Vision. The output has been fully verified by Ucamco, who confirm it conforms to the current X2 specification.
Ucamco’s Gerber X2 format provides a fail safe, standardized method for automatic transfer of layout data and PCB design information from CAD to CAM. Today, more than 20 major software vendors are supporting the Gerber X2 format confirming its status of de facto standard image format for the PCB manufacturing industry.
Stella Corporation CEO Nobuo Otake said, “Using the latest version of Gerber X2 shows our commitment to this format and allows our customers to optimize the exchange of PCB fabrication data with the PCB manufacturers.”
