Neways Electronics Expands Production Facility at German Site
February 16, 2018 | Neways Electronics International N.V.Estimated reading time: 1 minute
The EMS lifecycle partner Neways Electronics International is increasing its German site in Neunkirchen. The construction of the new building begins in mid-February. The additional production and office area is approximately 1,000 m², so that the site will grow to a total of 5,500 m². The construction is scheduled to be completed in mid-2018.
"The order situation is very good. To meet the growing demand of existing and new customers, it is strongly necessary to expand the production area and the machine park”, explains Michael Berger, Managing Director of the Neways Neunkirchen GmbH. In addition to a growing order intake, which requires further production capacity, the new projects are in some cases also very space-intensive. "Our customers are increasingly asking for our box build services," Berger continues. "Because of that we will need for example additional assembly lines for which our current production area is not sufficient." As part of the expansion, Neways Neunkirchen will redesign the current production layout to make the work processes even more efficient.
Additionally, Neways Neunkirchen will locate the order intake, sales, disposition and production control on the new office area. From that rearrangement Neways expects shorter coordination times, fewer e-mails and a more efficient communication. The production site in Neunkirchen serves customers from the automotive industry as well as from the industrial sector, building and measurement technology.
