Creative Electron Awarded $446,700 from Cal Competes

Creative Electron, the leading American supplier of x-ray machines was awarded the 2018 California Competes Tax Credit (Cal Competes) this week. The company will be using the $446,700 tax credit to build up their headquarters in San Marcos, CA.
Cal Competes is a tax incentive provided to California based companies to promote local growth. It is a highly competitive award. “I recommend applying for Cal Competes to any other California based businesses. It’s an excellent opportunity to continue growing locally and support the community,” says Bill Cardoso, CEO of Creative Electron. When asked about the application process, Dr. Cardoso replied, “I am thankful for the assistance I received from San Marcos city management and San Diego Regional EDC staff. They helped guarantee a smooth application process and were always available for questions.”
With headquarters in San Marcos and a 600-mile supply chain, Cal Competes awards Creative Electron the perfect opportunity for growth. The business is planning to use the grant for job creation and operation expansion in the California town. “We design and manufacture our x-ray systems at our California headquarters. Everything from software, to hardware, and marketing is made in the USA.”
