HANZA Expands Relationship with Getinge
April 8, 2019 | HANZAEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Manufacturing strategist HANZA Holding AB is expanding its partnership with the medical-technology company Getinge through the manufacturing of assembled mechanical parts for the company's ventilators and anesthesia machines. The new deal has an annual value of about 20 MSEK.
“We have a good cooperation with HANZA where they have become an important partner in the mechanical area for Getinge,” said Charlotta Elgström, Purchasing Manager at Getinge.
Getinge is a global supplier of innovative solutions for operating theaters, intensive care units and sterilization centers as well as companies and institutions in the Life Science industry. Getinge has over 10,000 employees and operates in more than 40 countries.
As previously announced, HANZA has signed an agreement with Getinge for the manufacturing of components and systems for medical-technology products. The new deal includes mounted mechanical systems and complements the existing deal that HANZA has with Getinge. Production is expected to start immediately and be fully operational during the last quarter of 2019.
“The extended collaboration with Getinge is additional acknowledgment of our strong business model,” said Thomas Lindström, Senior Vice President, Head of Business Solutions at HANZA. “More and more product companies see how we create value by streamlining the manufacturing industry with a focus on flexibility, total cost and environmental impact.”
