Prototron Circuits to Exhibit in AltiumLive 2019
October 7, 2019 | Prototron CircuitsEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
Prototron Circuits will be exhibiting at AltiumLive 2019 from October 9-11 at San Diego’s Loews Coronado Bay.
“We have been very impressed with the great job Altium has done in getting PCB designers together with PCB fabricators through this event," said Dave Ryder, president of Prototron Circuits of Redmond, Washington and Tucson, Arizona. "We at Prototron are completely committed to open communications between these two entities, so we felt it was critical for us to take part in this year’s AltiumLive. Customer Technical Liaison Mark Thompson will be there, along with National Sales Manager Russ Adams, to explore the possibilities of making the designer-fabricator relationship seamless. We appreciate Altium making the effort to provide this forum.”

Study on Resonance Mitigation in Metallic Shielding for Integrated Circuits
07/08/2025 | Maria Cuesta-Martin, Victor Martinez, Vidal Gonzalez Aguado, Würth ElektronikInherent cavity resonant modes often lead to significant degradation of shielding effectiveness, responsible for unwanted electromagnetic coupling. Cavity resonant modes of the metal shielding enclosure can produce two adverse problems: the mutual coupling among different RF modules and shielding effectiveness reduction of the metal enclosure. The cabinets serve to shield certain components from electromagnetic interference (EMI). However, these cavities present some resonance peaks at 5 GHz, making it impossible to use them at higher frequencies.
