March 1, 2021 | Advanced Precision DistributionEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Advanced Precision Distribution (APD), the leading distributor of best-in-class equipment and technical solutions, announces that it has hired Tom Seratti as president. In this role, Seratti is responsible for providing strategic vision while working with Ken Masci, CEO, and Tony Masci, General Manager, to grow the business.
APD offers in-depth solutions to today’s complex manufacturing challenges. As a distributor of some of the most highly respected and innovative companies in the industry, APD provides best-in-class equipment along with unparalleled technical knowledge.
“Having Tom join the company is truly beneficial,” said Ken Masci. “He brings the additional technical expertise and business experience that APD needs to advance to the next level.”
Seratti brings more than 40 years of industry experience to the company, including executive and sales management positions in distribution, supplier and independent representative organizations. Throughout his time in the industry, Seratti has held positions at ITC Electronics, Zack Electronics, Marshall Industries, Avnet, SPI Westek where he held the title of owner/operator, and OK Industries where he held the title of VP Global Sales and Marketing. In 2011, Tom and his wife Carrie started a Southern California-based representative firm, Stratesys Group, which they merged with a non-competitive representative company, West-Tech Materials, in 2016. Seratti served as the vice president of the Electronic Assembly Division.
“I am excited about my role within APD. I look forward to combining my industry and product knowledge with Ken’s and Tony’s in order to grow and strengthen the company while providing best-fit technology and solutions to our customers,” said Seratti.

I-Connect007 Editor’s Choice: Five Must-Reads for the Week
10/31/2025 | Nolan Johnson, I-Connect007Last week, the IMPACT conference took place in Taipei, bringing together advanced packaging experts from around the globe to share their knowledge. We’ll be bringing you post-conference coverage over the next few weeks, so look for that in our newsletters, and in the Advanced Electronic Packaging Digest. Other news seemed to have the U.S. at the center of the global discussions. My picks start in Phoenix, where TSMC, NVIDIA, and Amkor are all scrambling to establish new capabilities. There’s nothing like a strong demand signal to cause build-out, and AI chips are doing exactly that.

Better Sustainability Policies for Electronics
10/29/2025 | Diana Radovan, Global Electronics AssociationI joined the Global Electronics Association in August 2025 as the director of sustainability policy. Since then, much has happened in terms of geopolitics and in the development and re-envisioning of sustainability policies in the industry. While the European Commission has released several legislative packages to simplify sustainability requirements (“omnibus”), these developments haven’t yet settled and are not in effect. Given the many recent and ongoing public consultations, with often conflicting input from a broad range of stakeholders, final negotiations remain rather polarized among policymakers.
