The company's SMT-Europe Team are also IPC-A-610 certified; Sean Langbridge, Europe Sales Director; Chris Ward, European Applications Manager; Willie Roy, Senior. Applications Engineer; and Gareth Campbell, Sr. Applications Engineer.
With its comprehensive criteria for printed circuit board assemblies, the IPC-A-610 endorsement is the most widely used inspection standard in the electronics industry and has earned an international reputation as the source for end-product acceptance criteria for consumer and high reliability printed circuit assemblies. Areas of the course include general soldering and high voltage soldering, component and PCB damage, terminals and wires, through hole, surface mount and hardware.
Benefits of Working with a Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
For electronics manufacturing and assembly, the IPC-A-610 certification enables individuals to fully understand and correctly identify the acceptability criteria for electronic assemblies within a particular standard.
The customers benefit from knowing they are working with Certified IPC specialists with qualified knowledge of industry standards and IPC requirements, and with the ability to understand their unique challenges. The team can learn the customers’ build requirements in order to educate and train customers how best to program the inspection system for AOI, SPI and CMM to meet or exceed the requirements. The team can work with customers to closely identify and recognize product classifications, acceptable conditions, process indicator conditions, as well as defect conditions. Our customers who may or may not be fully aware of the IPC standards can draw on this knowledge to establish and maintain a high quality process that maximizes yields and productivity.
The IPC-A-610 certification demonstrates the commitment and support for the on-going training of our Applications Engineers and the certifications that are important to our customers’ success.
