EIPC Summer Conference Sweden 2022
May 12, 2022 | EIPCEstimated reading time: 1 minute
It's difficult to convey the pleasure that it gives us to bring news of our Summer Conference, which will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 14-15, 2022 in Örebro, Sweden. To have our friends and colleagues back together again after all this time is a matter of deep joy. A real event with real people, not surreal ones!
Not only are we going to have a stellar cast of speakers, but we will be making a visit to Ericsson R&D in Kumla, and there will be a Conference Dinner at a magnificent restaurant in Örebro itself.
Getting to Örebro will be worth the journey; it is a beautiful city in a beautiful country, and instead of battling with crowded autobahns one will be able to relax on a luxury train as it winds its way through the glorious countryside. Full details on travel itineraries from airports to Örebro are available.
Once there, we will be staying at the Örebro Scandic Grand Hotel, in which our conference will be held, with presentations from Ericsson, the European Space Agency, Isola, Nan Ya, and many other known companies, and a look at additive digital processes in electronics manufacturing amongst 16 papers being delivered.
There will be some new faces amongst the familiar ones, and all of them will be most welcome. We look forward to seeing you amongst them, and so please register your place asap.

Material Insight: David Griesel: Career Success Requires Tenacity, Flexibility

He worked in customer service, followed by technical sales and marketing through several iterations of the company, including as Isola. I hope you’ll enjoy this interview with David as much as I did.

Nolan’s Notes: Chips Don’t Float
09/05/2023 | Nolan Johnson -- Column: Nolan's NotesRonnie Chatterji is returning to academia. This is big news because Chatterji is the technology advisor to the Biden administration, and a central figure in shepherding the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022. Steven Overly, writing in Politico on Aug. 2, 2023, says that Chatterji’s return to Duke University “comes as the Biden administration’s semiconductor strategy has evolved from a frenzied search for a short-term fix to the global chips shortage to placing long-term bets on the U.S.-based manufacturing facilities in an effort to depend less on suppliers in Taiwan.”
