Minister President Weil Visits LPKF's Garbsen Site
August 25, 2022 | LPKFEstimated reading time: 1 minute

As part of a visit, Minister President Stephan Weil visited laser specialist LPKF at its headquarters in Garbsen. LPKF has been developing and producing innovative solutions for the technology industry since 1976. The laser systems are of crucial importance for the production of printed circuit boards, microchips, automotive parts, solar modules and many other components.
The Minister President was informed on site about the company's high-tech systems. CEO Dr. Klaus Fiedler was explaining how the technologies are used and the importance of the LIDE and ARRA-LYZE innovations for the LPKF Group.
"LPKF is a highly innovative company that has an attractive and viable product portfolio. Developments such as LIDE and ARRALY-ZE show that innovation is in the company's DNA," says Klaus Fiedler.
As a high-tech company, LPKF continually invests around 10 % of revenue each year in the development of new technologies and applications. The four business units of the LPKF Group have a stable core business, which enables them to research innovative and relevant new technologies.
Michael Agather guided the guests through the machine production of the Electronics Business Unit, followed by Dirk Neizel explaining the advantages of producing components using the LIDE process. At the end of the tour, Nora Fekete-Drimusz explained the new developments around the life science product ARRALYZE.
LPKF and Stephan Weil agreed to stay in touch and work together on a future for the Lower Saxony site.

It’s Only Common Sense: Stop Whining About the Market—Outwork It
10/06/2025 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseWhenever the market hiccups or the industry cycle dips, I hear the same tired chorus: “The market is down. Customers aren’t buying. What can we do? We just have to wait it out.” Nonsense. If you think that by showing up, opening your doors, and waiting for the economy to smile kindly upon you, that success will follow, you are in the wrong business. Worse yet, you’re living in the wrong mindset. Most people don’t want to hear the truth that winners find business in down cycles. Losers blame the economy.

Zig Ziglar’s "A View from the Top" is that book. It’s not just about business and motivation. It’s about living a life that counts—for your family, your company, your community, and yourself. Ziglar delivers this book in his typical fashion, with the punch of hard-earned wisdom, a bit of humor, and a lot of common sense.
