Calumet Electronics Passes AS9100 Audit
June 23, 2023 | Calumet ElectronicsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Michigan-based Calumet Electronics, a leading provider of printed circuit boards (PCBs), has successfully completed its most recent AS9100D audit. The audit that Calumet has passed with zero non-conformances — an achievement that reflects Calumet’s commitment to the highest standards of quality.
“We’re very proud of our entire team. Our successful completion of the AS9100 D audit reflects a companywide commitment to exceeding requirements and regulations,” said Todd Brassard, Calumet Electronics VP/COO.
AS9100D is a company-level certification based on a standard published by the Society of Automotive Engineers. As the internationally recognized standard for aerospace Quality Management Systems, certification is based on customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making, and relationship management.
“We’re very proud of our entire team,” said Calumet Electronics VP/COO Todd Brassard. “Our successful completion of the AS9100 D audit reflects a companywide commitment to exceeding requirements and regulations. Earning this certification is no easy task. It’s an important indicator of the outstanding people and processes we have on board.”
New AS9100D requirements emphasize the prevention of risk and counterfeit parts, providing a structure that enables businesses to adapt to change, planning for obsolescence, and addressing product safety concerns. Certifications are issued by third party certifying bodies. For an organization to maintain AS9100D certification, they will be subjected to annual or regularly scheduled audits where the organization’s compliance with the standard is evaluated by the certifying body.
