GPV's Site Engagement Meeting in Asia
March 12, 2024 | GPVEstimated reading time: 1 minute
During this week, the GPV Executive Leadership Team conducted the first in a row of Site Engagement Meetings to take place during spring 2024. The first Site Engagement Meeting took place at GPV Electronics CN in Suzhou, China, and brought together the Managing Directors and management teams of our electronics sites in Sri Lanka, China, and Thailand, as well as the mechanics site in Thailand.
The purpose of the Site Engagement Meetings is to update the Executive Leadership about site status and challenges for the coming period including country specific implications, operational challenges as well as organisation and factory setup.
“At our Site Engagement Meetings, we meet with the local management teams to discuss strong achievements during the past year, share best practices, and set the strategic focus for the next four quarters. This year, we also discuss our updated strategy – M.O.R.E. 28 – and how the specific sites can contribute to sustaining operational excellence and enhancing customer satisfaction moving forward. The agenda also includes a factory tour of the hosting Operating Business Unit, and it is always a pleasure to visit a site and meet our dedicated people,” says Bo Lybaek, CEO at GPV.
Apart from Bo Lybaek, the entire Executive Leadership Team – CBO Thomas Kaiser, CFO Henrik Tornbjerg, and COO Martin Kjærbo – participated in the Site Engagement Meeting.
The Site Engagement Meetings are held once a year with half a day scheduled for each Operating Business Unit (OBUs). The OBUs are clustered geographically.
“Our Site Engagement Meetings is an important tool for us to ensure alignment between Executive Management and Site Management teams. The meeting also serves as a platform for building relations, ensuring values alignment, and getting inspiration from each other. The meeting at GPV Electronics CN in Suzhou, China has been very productive, and it has been a pleasure to meet with our colleagues from our Asian OBUs,” says Bo Lybaek.
The next Site Engagement Meeting is in the middle of April 2024, when GPV Electronics CH in Switzerland hosts the meeting for our German and Nordic sites.
