FCL Components Group Announces 25+ Years of Environmental Achievements
August 7, 2024 | FCL ComponentsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
FCL Components Limited and its group companies mark 25+ years of working to protect the environment with significant accomplishments and commitments, according to its newly released FY2024 Environmental Report. The company met or exceeded all of its FY2023 environmental protection goals.
As a manufacturer of electronic components and modules such as relays, input/output devices, wireless modules, and sensors, FCL Components contributes to environmental responsibility in two ways: contributing to society and reducing the environmental impact of its business activities.
This includes:
- Working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, electricity consumption, water usage, and industrial waste during manufacturing processes together with our business partners.
- Making eco-friendly product development improvements, such as reducing the power consumption for our FBR53-LE relay by 28% reduction through renewal of its driving mechanism, and a 48% reduction in resource consumption for our FWM8BLZ14 wireless module, achieved through reducing its height and mounting space.
- Fostering harmony with the local communities where we operate, with projects including eradicating invasive plant species.
- Promoting circular economy initiatives, including a repair service at Nagano FCL Components to extend long-term product use.
FCL Components’ environmental activities span a broad range of areas, from global warming prevention activities, to green procurement, to improving supply chain transparency.
Looking ahead, the FCL recently committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, to be achieved through traditional energy-saving efforts as well as plans to introduce renewable energy sources and utilize non-fossil energy certificates.

I-Connect007 Editor’s Choice: Five Must-Reads for the Week
10/31/2025 | Nolan Johnson, I-Connect007Last week, the IMPACT conference took place in Taipei, bringing together advanced packaging experts from around the globe to share their knowledge. We’ll be bringing you post-conference coverage over the next few weeks, so look for that in our newsletters, and in the Advanced Electronic Packaging Digest. Other news seemed to have the U.S. at the center of the global discussions. My picks start in Phoenix, where TSMC, NVIDIA, and Amkor are all scrambling to establish new capabilities. There’s nothing like a strong demand signal to cause build-out, and AI chips are doing exactly that.
Standard of Excellence: Speed vs. Quality in Customer Service
10/29/2025 | Anaya Vardya -- Column: Standard of ExcellenceThe key to a company’s success is excellent customer service. In our industry, with tight deadlines, high expectations, and particularly where customers demand immediate responses, there’s a challenging balancing act between speed and quality. PCB companies—like all businesses serving demanding B2B clients in aerospace, defense, medical, and high-reliability markets—often feel caught between responding quickly and providing accurate, helpful, and meaningful information.
