GPV, a leading provider of advanced manufacturing services, is proud to announce the launch of its new Machine Safety Campaign. This campaign is part of the company's ongoing commitment to promoting safety and preventing accidents within the workplace.
Building on Success
GPV has achieved significant progress in enhancing safety culture and reducing Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) since the launch of its first Safety Awareness Campaign in November 2023. The number of near misses reported has increased, leading to a record-low LTI level of 0.59 per million working hours in the past twelve months.
Focus on Machine Safety
The new Machine Safety Campaign aims to further reduce incidents related to machine safety. By focusing on this critical area, GPV seeks to raise awareness, foster proactive safety practices, and ensure the well-being of all employees.
Encouraging Best Practices
The campaign promotes the sharing of best practices among all Operating Business Units (OBUs). By learning from each other, GPV aims to create a strong safety culture where everyone takes responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their colleagues.
Ville Pirilä, Vice President of Quality & HSE at GPV, commented: "Safety is a fundamental value at GPV. By prioritizing machine safety and encouraging near miss reporting, we are creating a safer and more positive work environment for all."
Martin Kjærbo, COO at GPV, added: "Safety is not just about compliance; it's about creating a culture where everyone feels empowered to take ownership of their safety and the safety of others. This campaign is a testament to our commitment to building such a culture."
