Pushing Boundaries in Measuring Board Warpage

11/12/2025 | Marcy LaRont, PCB007 Magazine
Akrometrix is a key player in metrology equipment. It focuses on accurately assessing warpage and strain in PCBs and PCBAs and prospers through continuing R&D and local sourcing. I recently met with Neil Hubble, president of Akrometrix, and Paul Handler, director of sales, for a tour of their Georgia facility. We discussed the growing challenge of quality measurement for advanced products and denser designs and the need for industry standardization.

Real Time with... IPC APEX EXPO 2025: Akrometrix—Creative Approaches to Measuring Thermal Warpage

03/31/2025 | Real Time with...IPC APEX EXPO
Neil Hubble discusses his research on measuring thermal warpage which focuses on challenges in testing small, thin samples. He introduces non-destructive testing methods that effectively measure without damaging components. Neil highlights the industry's growing interest in AI and outlines future technology goals, including improved resolution and automation to enhance production efficiency.

James Webb Space Telescope Photos Are Out of This World

06/20/2023 | Andy Shaughnessy, I-Connect007
One of the coolest things that NASA has going for it—besides launching things and people into space—is their state-of-the-art photography capabilities. NASA photographers are among the best in the world, and maybe even the galaxy. We hope you enjoy this photo gallery of images taken by the James Webb Space Telescope, the most powerful telescope ever launched into space. With its improved infrared resolution, it can view objects too far away to be detected by the Hubble, as well as objects dating to much earlier in the history of the universe.

05/09/2023 | Business Wire
Astroscale U.S. Inc., the market leader in securing long-term orbital sustainability across all orbits and Momentus Inc., a U.S. commercial space company that offers orbital transportation and in-space infrastructure services, are collaborating to offer NASA a sustainable solution for its Hubble Reboost efforts.

NASA, SpaceX to Study Hubble Telescope Reboost Possibility

12/27/2022 | NASA
The non-exclusive SpaceX study regarding the possibilities of reboosting the Hubble Space Telescope is ongoing. On Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, NASA issued a Request for Information to seek additional information about commercial capabilities available to reboost a satellite in orbit, using Hubble as a demonstration, at no cost to the government.
