Delta Electronics, Cal-Comp Strengthen Partnership to Drive Innovation in Industrial Automation
December 25, 2024 | Delta ElectronicsEstimated reading time: 2 minutes

Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, a global leader in power management and IoT-based smart green solutions, and Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SET Ticker: CCET), a leading industry 4.0+ electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deepen their collaboration in industrial automation. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in the EMS industry.
Mr. Khongsit Choukitcharoen, COO of Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand) PCL., stated: “Cal-Comp and Delta have both been deeply root in Thailand for more than 35 years and both have done well and succeed in its professional field. Over the years, Cal-Comp has been developing internally to enhance its automated smart manufacturing process and digital management in aiming to maintain its competitiveness among the competitors in the EMS industry. Delta, on the other hands, also has great achievements in energy conservation and carbon reduction, automobiles products, and AI-enabled solutions in recent years. Therefore, we are exciting to enter a strategic collaboration with Delta, together, to explore and to enhance the capabilities in smarter and greener manufacturing processes and to further drive the development of electronics industry in Thailand to the next milestone.”
Mr. Victor Cheng, Delta Thailand CEO, stated: "We are excited to formalize our relationship with Cal-Comp through this MOU, which represents a significant step forward in advancing smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0+ practices within the EMS industry. By integrating Delta’s cutting-edge automation and AI-enabled solutions into Cal-Comp’s manufacturing processes, we aim to enhance operational efficiency, optimize production workflows, and drive sustainable innovation. The MOU allows for collaboration between Delta and Cal-Comp, focusing on supporting smarter and greener factory operations."
Building on a strong foundation of collaboration, the MOU formalizes previous successful projects between Delta and Cal-Comp, including the implementation of SCARA robots, DIATwin technology, and energy-saving initiatives. These initiatives have already demonstrated measurable improvements in operational efficiency and sustainability, laying the groundwork for an expanded partnership that focuses on integrating advanced automation technologies like DIAEAP-IMM.
Together, Cal-Comp’s CCET 4.0+ platform (Cell & Connection & Equipment E-System & Transportation), AI Solutions and creation of Data Center run through manufacturing process and Delta’s DIAEAP-IMM solution are the key components of this partnership, which offering a tailored approach to injection molding automation. This advanced platform combines IoT capabilities, real-time monitoring, and AI-powered analytics to optimize production, reduce waste, and improve product quality. By input both technologies, it is believed that the newly developed system shall ensures parameter consistency, optimizes mold flow, and significantly reduces production errors. On the other hand, by transforming raw data into actionable insights, DIAEAP-IMM empowers manufacturers to achieve zero-defect products and maintain consistent quality standards.
This collaboration represents a meaningful step toward advancing the EMS industry by combining Delta’s automation expertise with Cal-Comp’s manufacturing capabilities. Through this partnership, both companies aim to set a benchmark for smart and sustainable industrial practices, driving innovation and environmental responsibility in alignment with global manufacturing trends.

Nolan’s Notes: Looking Deep Into the Future With X-ray
04/02/2025 | Nolan Johnson -- Column: Nolan's NotesAs a diagnostic tool, X-ray has been around for over a century, and available to EMS inspection for some years. It seems the industry has moved far enough forward to fully embrace X-ray on the assembly line. I’m reminded of Wayne Gretzky’s famous comment about the secret to his scoring success: “I skate to where the puck will be, not where the puck is.” I liken that to X-ray inspection, which has been standing here all this time waiting for the industry to catch up. Has X-ray’s time finally come in electronics manufacturing?
