SAMI-AEC Sponsors the Best Graduation Project Award at King Saud University (KSU)

SAMI Advanced Electronics Company (SAMI-AEC), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), proudly reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing national talent by sponsoring the Best Graduation Project Award at King Saud University (KSU) for the 26th consecutive year. This long-standing collaboration underscores SAMI-AEC’s dedication to advancing local capabilities and empowering Saudi youth in technology, innovation, and engineering excellence.

The sponsored award recognized the outstanding achievements of graduating students from KSU’s College of Computer and Information Sciences, College of Engineering, and the Department of Electrical Engineering. Honors were granted across three categories: the Scientific Advancement Award for best graduation project, the Excellence Award for best academic performance, and the Creativity Award for the most innovative idea. The awards aim to highlight and encourage breakthrough thinking, academic rigor, and the development of solutions that address real-world challenges.

Eng. Ziad Al-Musallam, CEO of SAMI-AEC, expressed pride in supporting future generations of Saudi innovators. He emphasized that as Saudi Arabia accelerates toward a knowledge-based, tech-driven economy, investments in youth education and innovation are not only necessary but strategic. He added that SAMI-AEC’s sponsorship reflects its broader mission to contribute to the Kingdom’s industrial and technological self-sufficiency under Vision 2030.

Dr. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Salman, Acting President of King Saud University, acknowledged the strength of the partnership between SAMI-AEC and KSU. He remarked that for over two decades, SAMI-AEC has been instrumental in advancing the university’s vision of academic excellence and innovation. He thanked the company for its ongoing support in building a knowledge society and fostering a culture of creativity among Saudi graduates.

A joint panel of experts from both SAMI-AEC and King Saud University evaluated over 12 submissions from the graduating class of 2024. The award ceremony was attended by senior executives, faculty members, and students.
