Foxconn's Board Of Directors' Office Held an Expanded Summer Internship Program; Acceptance Rate at 1.7%

The results of the 2025 summer internship selection of the board of directors of Hon Hai Technology Group , the world's largest technology manufacturing platform service provider, are out. This year, among more than a thousand applications, a total of 18 outstanding students were selected, with an acceptance rate of only 1.7% . This year's internship program emphasizes specialization. In addition to "Technology Innovation" and "Corporate Image", "Finance and Finance" was added for the first time. There are three major categories in total, providing interns with a deeper experience course to further strengthen Hon Hai's future talent pool.
This year, Hon Hai's Chairman's Office received a total of 1,069 resumes for its summer internship program , of which more than 400 applications were received from the "Technology Innovation" group, making it the most competitive. The newly added "Finance and Banking" group also received 268 applications from students at home and abroad after it was opened for application, reflecting that under the trend of financial technology, students in finance, business management, and economics are also brave enough to challenge the technology industry workplace environment.
Hon Hai Technology Group Chief Human Resources Officer Xia Guoan said, "The internship program has become the first stop for young talents to encounter Hon Hai culture. This year, the interview will be held in the Neihu Building for the first time, adding a corporate showroom tour and exchange space, so that more students can get to know and understand Hon Hai through the interview opportunity. In the future, we will continue to deploy the strategy of "finding people, selecting the right people, retaining their hearts, and grabbing them quickly" to deepen the two-way connection between interns and companies and reserve more key talents for the company."
The interns of the Director's Office are currently recruiting 18 students. After a rigorous selection process, three interview teams will recruit 6 students each. The students admitted this year have gone through a written review and multiple online tests, and finally went through a group structured interview before they were able to enter the 1.7% threshold ! This year, three foreign students stood out, from the United States, Thailand, and Indonesia; in addition, 20% of the admitted schools are from overseas universities.
The goal of the third summer internship selection of the Board Office is to find talents with ideals, enthusiasm and the ability to solve problems ( Debug ). In addition to the job skills required by each group, more emphasis is placed on the recognition of organizational culture. The core values of Foxconn people, "Integrity, Diligence, and Agility", are used as one of the selection and evaluation criteria. This kind of personality trait requirement is not only a corporate culture, but also a code of conduct. It is an important foundation for interns to interact with the team in their daily internship work in the future.
One of the interviewers this year, Liao Weixiang, senior manager of Foxconn's Central Legal Affairs Department , said, "This year's interview application simulation questions are very difficult, and they really test the students' flexibility in thinking on how to use their professional knowledge to deal with unfamiliar questions. Most students showed great ambition in applying cross-disciplinary business knowledge. "
The interviewer for the Finance and Banking Group, Gong Wenlin, Senior Associate Manager of Central Finance, said, " It can be seen that the students are well prepared and have a certain degree of understanding of the group culture and future development priorities. Of course, students have different experiences and some are more immature in expression, but they are confident in their professional abilities and will use logic and professional knowledge to solve problems when faced with them. This is worthy of recognition! "
"The students in the Technology Innovation Group have very diverse backgrounds, including outstanding talents from Taiwan, the United States, Thailand and other places. They have professional training in AI , electrical engineering, computer engineering, system engineering, etc. They not only have a solid technical foundation, but can also actively connect their own abilities with industry trends. Many students mentioned topics such as generative AI , smart manufacturing, and electric vehicles, showing their attention to forward-looking technology and application thinking." Manager Liu Canting of the Software R&D Center also gave high praise to the students.
This year's board of directors internship program is expected to start from July 1st until the end of August . A total of 14 internal units of Hon Hai will participate, including the commercial electric vehicle center, software R&D center, Hon Hai Research Institute and other science and engineering-based units; in addition, the finance group interns will be trained in strategic investment, finance and finance, accounting, management and other financial core units; corporate image group interns must challenge human resources, legal affairs, risk management, corporate communication and other units. The entire internship program includes general courses, exchanges with third-party institutions, electric vehicle practical experience, and talks with the chairman and strategy chief.
Foxconn, under the core value concept of "sharing, cooperation, and common prosperity", hopes to let more people understand Foxconn through open and diverse channels, and join Foxconn to grow together. Therefore, at the final stage of the internship, at the achievement sharing session, interns with outstanding performance will have the opportunity to receive a "preliminary employment letter" and become a part of Foxconn in the future.
