Technica USA and Electro Design AB Form Strategic Partnership

On March 2, 2026, Technica USA announced a strategic partnership with Electro Design AB. Under this agreement, Technica will serve as the Master Distributor in the United States and Canada for Electro Design's automation products for the SMT/PCBA market, marketed under the brand name “Technica, U.S.A. by Electro Design.” Technica will assume all responsibility for sales, service, and spare parts inventory for these products and will collaborate with Electro Design to engineer specific automation solutions for our customers.
Jason Perry of Technica USA stated, “We are pleased to announce our partnership with Electro Design. Located near Stockholm, Sweden, Electro Design has established notable success in distributing their products throughout Europe and on other global regions with over 10,000 machines installed. We appreciate the opportunity to introduce these offerings to our customers in the United States and Canada. We are confident that our clients will recognize the high quality, reliable performance, and comprehensive support we will be able to offer.”

Since 1987, Electro Design has been designing and manufacturing a full range of automation equipment for the Electronic Industry. Their product offering includes automation equipment for the SMT, Conformal Coating, Selective Soldering, Wave Soldering, and AOI Inspection processes as well as custom equipment for special applications.
Perry further commented, “The timing of our partnership is ideal, as it coincides nicely with the APEX EXPO 2026 taking place from March 17th through 19th in Anaheim, California. We will present their products and officially launch our partnership at our booth, #4024."
