Beyond the Rulebook
What happens when the rule book is no longer useful, or worse, was never written in the first place? In today’s fast-moving electronics landscape, we’re increasingly asked to design and build what has no precedent, no proven path, and no tidy checklist to follow. This is where “Design for Invention” begins.

Technica and Supply Partners Participate in Dallas SMTA Expo & Tech Forum
April 7, 2026 | Technica USAEstimated reading time: 1 minute
For the second consecutive year, Technica USA participated in the Dallas SMTA Expo & Tech Forum, held Tuesday, April 7, at the Plano Event Center.
The event provided Technica and its supply partners with an excellent opportunity to showcase their PCB assembly solutions across the region. Featured offerings included products from DCT, PARMI, REECO, and the Technica by Electro Design material handling product line, among others.
Jeff Forster, SMT Sales Manager at Technica, commented on the event’s success: “The activity at the expo was very strong. We had several productive meetings and meaningful discussions with customers, and we look forward to continuing those collaborations.”
Joining Forster at the event were David Bures, DCT USA Sales Manager, and Mike DePauw, PARMI Western Regional Manager.
Earlier this year, Technica and DCT established a new partnership, with Technica becoming the Master Distributor for DCT’s cleaning chemicals and equipment across the United States. Supported by Technica’s direct sales team and nationwide network of representatives, the partnership has already seen significant success.
PARMI, a global leader in SPI and AOI equipment known for its advanced use of AI technology, was also represented at the expo. DePauw and Forster returned for their second year of participation, building on the strong results and positive engagement achieved at last year’s event.
Forster added, “This SMTA event is consistently one of the best-attended expos. It’s great to see local contract manufacturers (CMs), EMS providers, and OEMs supporting the industry by sending their teams to learn and stay informed on the latest developments.”
Technica extends its appreciation to DCT and PARMI for their continued partnership and for demonstrating their support of both Technica and the SMTA organization.
