A longstanding supporter of the SMTA, Technica USA participated in the Oregon SMTA Expo & Tech Forum held Tuesday, May 19, at the Wingspan Event & Conference Center.
The event provided Technica USA and a few of its supply partners with an excellent opportunity to showcase advanced PCB assembly solutions to manufacturers throughout the Northwest region. Featured technologies included solutions from ASMPT, DCT, PARMI, ESSEMTEC, REECO, INOVAXE, Creative Electron, and Technica by Electro Design’s material handling product line, among others.
Jeff Forster, SMT Sales Manager at Technica USA, commented on the event’s success, “The activity at this year’s expo was noticeably stronger than last year, which is encouraging for the region. We had several productive meetings and meaningful discussions with customers, and we look forward to continuing those collaborations.”
Joining Forster at the event were David Bures, Operations Manager for DCT USA, and Mike DePauw, Western Regional Manager for PARMI.
Technica USA serves as the master distributor for DCT cleaning chemicals and equipment throughout the United States. Supported by Technica’s direct sales organization and nationwide representative network, the partnership has already achieved significant success.
PARMI, a global leader in SPI and AOI inspection systems recognized for its advanced AI-driven technology, was also featured at the expo. The Technica/Parmi partnership expands throughout the Western & Southwest U.S. territories.
Forster, Bures, and DePauw have been active participants in SMTA expos across the Western and Southwestern United States, demonstrating their continued commitment to industry education and customer engagement.
Forster added, “Supporting SMTA events is important to both Technica and the electronics manufacturing industry as a whole. Our goal is to help educate customers about evolving technology trends, market changes, and the solutions available to address new manufacturing challenges. Not everyone has the opportunity to attend APEX, and regional SMTA expos provide local companies with valuable access to industry knowledge and technology exposure for their teams. An experience they would not have otherwise.”
