Lite-On Technology has reported consolidated revenue of NT$20.6 billion ($636.43 million) in September, up by 15% month-on-month and by 1% year-on-year. Cumulative sales for January to September totaled NT$159.18 billion ($4.92 billion).
The Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 23% share of Lite-On's overall revenue with consecutive monthly sales growths, mainly resulting from high-end camera module shipment growth supported by the launches of new smartphone models onto the end market, coupled with delivery increases of LED vehicle lighting products.
The Information Technologies business segment accounted for 50% of sales with revenue growths of 15% MoM and 10% YoY, of which Power systems' September revenue grew over 10% YoY as a result of increases in global demand for server and networking power management systems in cloud computing applications, mobile devices and game consoles. Meanwhile, Enclosure and HIS (Human Input Solutions) posted consecutive monthly sales growths driven by delivery increases of high-end server enclosure products as well as ongoing market share gains in PC keyboards and peripherals.
The Storage business segment accounted for 17% of total revenue with a sales growth of over 30% MoM, a result of increased demand for game consoles.
