Electrolube to Present Conformal Coatings Seminar at EFY EXPO

Electrolube, the global electro-chemicals manufacturer for electronics, automotive and industrial manufacturing, will be participating in India's foremost EMS conference, the ELCINA CEO Summit. Phil Kinner, Technical Director for Electrolube's Conformal Coatings Division, will provide a complete overview of conformal coatings and discuss their relevance through a presentation at the Electronics For You Expo, which will be held from January 11–13, 2016 at BIEC, Bangalore.

Electrolube will be exhibiting on booth ET1 at EFY EXPO, where the company will be welcoming visitors and displaying their extensive range of IPC-CC-830 accredited Conformal Coatings. Additionally, a series of Electrolube Conformal Coatings including AFA, 2K100, 2K500, UVCL, LTC and DCA have all passed qualification to BMW Group Standard GS95011-5 reinforcing the brand’s reputation for excellence and performance in the harshest of environments.

During the presentation, Kinner will outline what conformal coatings actually are, why manufacturers should use coatings for long-term reliability of electronic components and the results of ineffective coating processes. A key take-away point from the presentation will be an explanation of why the coating process can go wrong and mechanisms that can be put in place to prevent this. The presentation will also touch upon the value of approvals and how relevant they are to ‘real life’ applications. An approval is no guarantee of absolute success but Electrolube works to develop coatings to meet increasingly stringent testing and harsher environments.
