Inventec Acquires HTC Building to House its PC R&D HQ

Notebook ODM Inventec has acquired a factory/office building located in Taoyuan, northern Taiwan, from smartphone vendor HTC, to house the R&D headquarters for its business-use PC business group, according to a Digitimes report.
The building occupies land of 5.58 hectares and has total floor space of 119,471sqm. Inventec's business-use PC business group, currently separately located in two factories, will move into the newly acquired building to reduce operating cost.
