Lite-On Technology Expects Growth for 2Q16

EMS provider Lite-On Technology expects quarterly growth in second-quarter 2016 as sales have been better than expected, according to Digitimes.
Lite-On began design-in of components used in gaming PCs and notebooks in first-half 2016 and expects shipments of power supplies, keyboards, mice and SSDs (solid-state drives) used in gaming PCs and notebooks to significantly increase in second-half of the year.
Due to increasing competition, Lite-On focuses on smartphone-use 13-megapixel and above high-end compact camera modules (CCMs). The proportion of smartphone-use CCM shipments for such high-end models rose from about 60% in fourth-quarter 2015 to over 60% in first-quarter 2016 and is expected to exceed 70% in second-half 2016, the Digitimes report added.
