Mirtec is pleased to announce that East/West Manufacturing Enterprises, a Texas-based electronic contract manufacturer, has purchased an MV-6 OMNI 3D AOI system.
To ensure that every product is of the highest quality, East/West has established quality processes and controls, and the new 3D AOI will further enhance these processes. East/West understands that product quality is paramount and must be matched with on-time delivery and low cost.
“We are very happy with our Mirtec 3D AOI system,” stated Andy Salo, president, East/West. “We looked at several options, and Mirtec clearly came out on top. We look forward to continuing our customer growth and company expansion with the additional capabilities that Mirtec brings to the table.”
“Manufacturers have become ever more selective in purchasing new AOI technology that will add value to their business and provide them with a, much needed, competitive edge,” said Brian D’Amico, president of Mirtec’s North American Sales and Service Division. “We at Mirtec are extremely focused on manufacturing the industry’s most technologically advanced inspection solutions. It is truly a pleasure to welcome East/West Manufacturing to our growing family of satisfied Mirtec customers. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship between our two organizations.”
The award-winning MV-6 OMNI combines Mirtec’s proprietary Twelve Projection OMNI-VISION 3D Digital Tri-Frequency Moiré Technology with an exclusive 15 megapixel CoaXPress camera system to yield precise 3D height measurement data used to detect lifted component and lifted lead defects as well as solder volume post reflow. Fully configured Mirtec’s MV-6 OMNI machine features four 10 megapixel side-view cameras in addition to a 15 megapixel top-down camera.
