Mycronic Expands MYSmart Portfolio with Full Line Coating and Inline Dispensing at productronica
November 11, 2021 | MycronicEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Entering the market in 2017, and now the world’s second-largest supplier of integrated coating and dispensing solutions for the electronics industry, Mycronic AB (publ) continues to expand its global offering at Productronica in Munich, November 16-19, 2021. In addition to a versatile new modular conformal coating, inspection and curing line, the company will also demonstrate the world’s fastest all-material jetting system, the latest industrial dispensing technologies as well as a range of advanced on- and off-line process control software solutions.
Tailored solutions for automated electronics protection
For high-reliability sectors such as automotive electronics, medical technologies and 5G infrastructure, electronics protection continues to grow in importance. At the same time, diverse requirements ranging from high-precision automation to customized fluid handling and process development are evolving rapidly. To meet these demands, Mycronic has continued on its path of rapid innovation and customer-driven development to firmly establish its MYSmart series of coating and dispensing solutions as a leading choice among global tier-one manufacturers.
Versatile new high-speed coating line
Productronica 2021 will mark another significant step forward for Mycronic’s MYC50 conformal coating system. High-volume manufacturers will see the company’s latest full coating line consisting of a MYC50, the new MYSmart I70X inline visual inspection system and a modular UV curing system for a diverse range of part sizes. The new coating line benefits from a range of features including auto-compensating pressure valves for enhanced material flow control, a broad portfolio of high-precision coating valves, and intuitive offline/online software, to name just a few. For lower volume production, an alternative configuration of the MYC50 will demonstrate a cost-effective in-machine coating inspection system.
Automated industrial dispensing
On the dispensing side, manufacturers of 5G networking technologies, data centers, electric vehicles or similar heavy-duty boards will have the opportunity to experience the MYC60 industrial dispenser. The highly robust MYC60 is already relied on by leading tier-one EMS facilities for automated 24/7 fluid dispensing of structural, thermal, sealing and bonding fluids. Visitors will have a chance to discuss how the robust MYC60 can be customized with application-specific material handling, industrialized process controls and MES integration for any industrial assembly environment.
The market’s fastest all-material jetting system
Producers of consumer electronics, meanwhile, will welcome the news of the new APJ1000 jet valve which, on the MY700 Jet Dispenser, comprises the market’s fastest all-material jetting system. Wherever large-area, random-dot dispensing patterns are crucial to manufacturing quality and efficiency, the new jetting system brings the speed and accuracy of the MY700 into a far wider range of dispensing fluid applications. The APJ1000 will also be demonstrated on the MYD50 inline dispenser, enabling all fluids to be dispensed at nearly any angle, height or volume.
New dual-slide tabletop dispenser
Finally, the cost-effective MYT50 tabletop dispenser will also be exhibited in a new dual Y-slide configuration, allowing simultaneous dispensing, loading and unloading of parts in the two slides. The new MYT50LD was designed in collaboration with batch-volume producers of general electronics, where extreme customization is needed to accommodate a wide range of novel form factors.
To experience live demos and to learn more about Mycronic’s MYSmart series of dispensing and coating solutions, visit hall A3, booth 342 at Productronica in Munich, November 16-19, 2021.
