Sparton Earns Fourth Consecutive 5-Star Supplier Excellence Award from RaytheonJune 28, 2016 | Sparton Corp.

Sparton Corp. was recognized for its outstanding performance as a supplier to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) at the Supplier Excellence Conference held in Danvers, Massachusetts on June 7, 2016.
Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems business instituted the annual Supplier Excellence Awards program to recognize suppliers who have provided outstanding service and partnership in exceeding customer requirements. Award candidates are judged on certain criteria, including overall quality, on-time delivery and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. A 5-Star recognition is the highest level of recognition a Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems business supplier can achieve for excellence in quality and performance, and Sparton was one of 24 companies selected.
Sparton’s Plaistow, New Hampshire facility supplies sub-assemblies for the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System, Zumwalt Class Destroyer, and THAAD & AN/TPY-2 Radar Systems programs.

Sparton Corporation, an Elbit Systems of America company, announced that it had received a vendor status under the United States Navy’s sonobuoy Multiple Award Delivery Order Contract (MADOC). With MADOC vendor status, Sparton qualifies to compete for annual delivery orders for each sonobuoy variant that may be needed by the service.

Cerberus Capital Management, L.P., a global leader in alternative investing, has announced that one of its affiliates has signed a definitive agreement to sell Sparton Corporation to Elbit Systems of America, LLC.
