Hon Hai Joins OpenUSD Alliance to Promote Standardized and Open Source Universal Scenario Description (USD) Technology

Hon Hai Technology Group , the world’s largest technology manufacturing and service provider, announced that it has joined the Alliance for OpenUSD (AOUSD ) to support the construction of a 3D ecosystem and promote Cooperation among various industries around the world promotes the standardization of Universal Scene Description (USD ).

The OpenUSD Alliance was jointly established by Pixar , Adobe , Apple , Autodesk and NVIDIA in August 2023. It is committed to establishing OpenUSD as an international cross-industry standard and formulating written specifications of the technology development blueprint to maximize compatibility and wider adoption . Import, integrate and implement. OpenUSD technology, created by  Pixar , is a high-performance 3D scene description technology that provides technicians with excellent and smooth operation between tools, data and workflows.

Therefore, we need more 3D technologies that can be used in manufacturing scenarios."
