ITW EAE to Showcase Latest Electronic Assembly Equipment Developments at productronica

ITW EAE will be showcasing its latest developments at productronica, November 18-21 in Munich, Germany. The ITW EAE booth A4–554 will have MPM, Camalot, Electrovert, Vitronics Soltec and Despatch applications experts on hand as well as sales and management to answer questions and offer solutions.

Camalot will be demonstrating a future advanced version of its patented Dynamic Dual Head (DDH) feature. This technology, already used in over 1000 systems worldwide, enables two dispense heads to operate simultaneously with real-time XY correction, which increases productivity without affecting yield. The advanced version introduces a new feature where the pumps are pitched in the Y direction (front to back), a capability that is currently not available on competitive systems.

Electrovert will showcase the new EcoWave for wave soldering.  The new EcoWave system combines two patented technologies in a compact, innovative design that enhances wave soldering by improving topside hole fill and reduced bridging defects. It also lowers dross production, shortens maintenance cycles, and supports sustainability—delivering cleaner, more efficient manufacturing.  Electrovert will also feature the new Finger Crash Detect option.  The new Finger Crash Detect option enhances PCB handling by identifying bent fingers that could cause misalignment, drops, or defects. Integrated into the existing conveyor system, it validates each finger post-process and works with both standard and heavy-duty configurations. The system alerts operators via machine software when a bent finger is found, precisely locates it, and automatically moves it to a user-defined position for quick replacement.

MPM will conduct live demonstrations on the Edison II ACT printer. The MPM® Edison™ II ACT is a state-of-the-art automated changeover solution for establishing a solid step ahead toward the industry mega trend.  It is designed for simplicity, ease of adoption, scalability, and creating attractive ROI for users. With a built-in ±8 micron machine alignment, and ±15 micron wet print accuracy (≥2 Cpk @ 6 sigma, Edison's wet print accuracy is 25% better than the next best printer.  Edison II ACT provides a cost-effective solution for labor intensive and error prone product changeover task, it enables quicker & simpler, reduced labor dependance, and error free changeover. 

Vitronics Soltec will feature the Centurion Reflow Oven with CoolCean. The CoolClean unit enhances process reliability by extracting contaminated gases from the cool zone and condensing them outside the process area. Positioned under the tunnel for easy access, it prevents flux residue from dripping onto PCBs, reduces oven contamination, and extends maintenance intervals boosting overall machine uptime. Also featured on the Centurion is the new Process Guard option.  Process Guard delivers a process assurance by continuously monitoring PCB process temperatures as they move through the oven. This integrated feature tracks baseline temperatures, sets upper and lower alarm thresholds, and displays the data in a detailed thermal profile. It also calculates product Cpk values, providing real-time insights into process capability and consistency. With its robust data collection and visualization capabilities, Process Guard empowers manufacturers to maintain tighter control over thermal processes and improve overall product quality.

Despatch will showcase the LFC1–38 Class A bench-top oven.  The LFC1-38 oven was designed to meet the rigorous safety standards outlined by NFPA 86.  Engineered specifically for applications involving flammable solvents or significant moisture removals, this advanced oven features a pressure relief panel, purge timers and exhaust fan to ensure safe operation. Utilizing horizontal recirculating airflow, the LFC oven guarantees uniform temperature distribution, optimizing performance and reliability in high cost of failure environments.
