Libra Industries Enhances Inventory Management Efficiency with XQUIK II
July 15, 2016 | Libra IndustriesEstimated reading time: 1 minute
EMS firm Libra Industries has purchased and installed an XQuik II with AccuCount Technology at its Mentor facility. The sale was facilitated by the company's representative, Rick Whittelsey from MEO.
The XQuik II with AccuCount Technology enables Libra Industries to increase its efficiency by maintaining accurate inventory of all component reels. The XQuik system automatically counts components as small as 01005 with better than 99 percent accuracy. The process takes only seconds, and requires no programming. The new XQuik II handles reels from 7 to 15".
Scott Fillebrown, Libra Industries CTO, commented, “Being a quick-turn, high-mix EMS company requires us to be able to move quickly without losing any accuracy. The XQuik II reel counter enables us to do so by significantly reducing kitting time.”
The XQuik with AccuCount Technology is a benchtop X-ray system with a footprint of only 26 x 24"(66 x 62 cm). Operation is as simple as placing the reel into the cabinet, closing the door, and clicking the count icon. Barcode reading, automatic label printing and MES system interface options are available.
