Designing Proper Work-Life Balance
In this issue, we hear from designers, marketers, and business owners on how they apply their professional skills to their personal lives to build a healthier work-life balance.
Designing Proper Planes
Without planes, designers would have to create thousands of traces to accomplish the same objectives. Power planes provide low impedance and stable power, and ground planes stabilize reference voltage, improve thermal performance, and help preclude EMI issues.
Power Integrity
Current power demands are increasing, especially with AI, 5G, and EV chips. This month, our experts share “watt’s up” with power integrity, from planning and layout through measurement and manufacturing.

11/05/2025 | Real Time with...SMTAIIn this interview from SMTAI 2025, Kevin Brennan shares his five-year journey at Indium Corporation, where he has worked in R&D, process engineering, and product management. Indium focuses on engineered solder materials, introducing new products like halogen-free and high-temperature alloys to meet industry challenges. The discussion covers a shift to low-temperature alloys to reduce warpage in larger chips and highlights the Indium 12.9 HF flux for high-density boards. Kevin reflects on the supportive community at Indium.
Real Time with... SMTAI 2025: The Importance of Precision Cleaning in Electronics Manufacturing with Kyzen
11/04/2025 | Real Time with...SMTAIKYZEN Corporation focuses on precision cleaning chemistries for various industries, prioritizing environmental responsibility. In this audio interview with I-Connect007, Dr. Adam Klett talks to us about the role of cleaning in electronics manufacturing, particularly in UHDI technology, where cleanliness affects signal integrity. Material compatibility and sustainability are also key factors in developing new cleaning chemistries that protect electronic components and meet regulatory standards.
Jiva Leading the Charge Toward Sustainable Innovation
09/30/2025 | Marcy LaRont, PCB007 MagazineEnvironmental sustainability in business—product circularity—is a high priority these days. “Circularity,” the term meant to replace “recycling,” in its simplest definition, describes a full circle life for electronic products and all their elements. The result is re-use or a near-complete reintroduction of the base materials back into the supply chain, leaving very little left for waste. For what cannot be reused productively, the ultimate hope is to have better, less harmful means of disposal and/or materials that can seamlessly and harmlessly decompose and integrate back into the natural environment. That is where Jiva and Soluboard come in.
