1. Sony (Major electronics company in Japan) 10/16
The company has commercialized a new color CMOS image sensor with a high-sensitivity for automobile market.
2. Hitachi (Major electric & electronics company in Japan) 10/20
The company has developed a new memory technology in quartz glass. It holds the digital data for more than two hours under 1,000 degree Celsius circumstances with the same density as a Blue Ray system.
3. Mitsubishi Plastic (Major plastic supplier in Japan) 10/20
The supplier has founded a manufacturing and distribution company in Australia. The company will produce high-quality vegetables in clean solar houses.
4. JST (R&D organization in Japan) 10/20
The organization has developed a new magnetic compound, NdFe12Nx, for the electric motors used in hybrid cars. The new magnet does not need remarkable amounts of rare earth materials.
5. Sumitomo Metal Mining (metallic material supplier in Japan) 10/20
The supplier has decided to expand the manufacturing capacity of its NiLi-based cathode material of secondary batteries by more than double.
6. Hitachi Metals (Major metallic product supplier in Japan) 10/21
The supplier has developed a new sensor that measures 3D angular velocity using a piezo film for mobile and automobile devices.
7. Mitsubishi Materials (Major material supplier in Japan) 10/23
The supplier has established a volume production process for the PZT piezo films used in MEMS device constructions.
8. Murata (Major device supplier in Japan) 10/27
The supplier has commercialized a new quartz device with 2016 and 1612 plastic packages for mobile equipment. The new devices provide higher accuracy in smaller packages.
9. Fujitsu (Major electronics company in Japan) 10/28
The company has agreed to work with FPT International in Vietnam to develop high-tech agriculture systems.
10. Olympus (Major optical device supplier in Japan) 10/28
The supplier has developed a new measuring microscope, “STM7,” with an accuracy of 3 micron for productive process control.
